Missy Elliot "Get ur feak on"
I was looking at this music video of Missy Elliot's song "Get ur freak on". The video starts with some flashing pictures that make the camera sounds which makes it effective because we see other famous people are in the video. They also used some CGI which means Computer generated images. This makes the video more interesting and it looks like they are moving really fast but they are actually pictures which are faded in really fast. We hear a man speaking in another language after the flashing images. he is doing the splits but against two walls. Then we hear the tune of the song and some dancers. We also see fast moving images of the dancers and I think that this works well with the tune because it stops at the beats. When we see Missy Elliot singing she is wearing a denim jacket and others are wearing colours that are the same as the background. This shows the contrast between the background and Missy Elliot's denim jacket. We see Missy Elliot inside the drains and in a dirty place. Missy Eliot has a change of clothes here and is wearing a white body suit with gold patches on the shoulders. We see more dancers dancing differently to before and are dressed in black overalls, glasses and hats. This matches the dark atmosphere and the background. After that we can see Missy Elliot and dancers at the back of her and then she turns her head and throws her spit towards a man. She spits into his mouth and then his face shows how disgusted he is of her. While the dancers are dancing we see a someone hanging from a chandelier and swinging from side to side. In the rest of the video we see dancers and Missy Elliot singing. The mood and beats of the music changes towards the end and there is a blue light shining on Missy Elliot. They show Missy Elliot inside a bright yellow car. This shows the contrast between the gutters and bright colours.
